At 112 W 6th St, the Madera Elks Lodge carries on a tradition that goes back over a century in the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks. Walk through the doors and you'll find an atmosphere that reviewers consistently describe as "old time looking" in the best possible way. Dark wood, familiar faces, and a fully stocked bar greet you like a neighborhood institution should.

The Lodge is more than a members-only club. It's a gathering place that Madera families turn to when they want a meaningful venue for life's biggest moments. Quinceañeras, weddings, company parties, and milestone birthdays have all been celebrated inside these walls. The camaraderie built here over shared dinners and fellowship nights is exactly why members keep coming back and keep bringing their families.

As a chartered chapter of the BPOE, the Lodge also channels its energy outward into the Madera community through charitable programs, youth initiatives, and veterans' support that define the Elks mission across the country.

What We Offer

The Lodge offers event venue rental for private parties, family celebrations, corporate gatherings, and more. The space comes with a fully stocked bar, room for large groups, and the kind of old-school character that no hotel banquet room can replicate. It's a real place with real history, and that shows in every event held here.

Beyond private rentals, the Lodge runs a regular calendar of member dinners, social nights, and fellowship events that bring the Madera Elks community together throughout the year. Membership in the Order opens the door to those events, a network of fellow members across the country, and the satisfaction of contributing to local charitable causes.

For prospective members, the Lodge welcomes visitors to stop by and experience an event firsthand. Elks membership is open to U.S. citizens who believe in God, and the application process is straightforward. Come see what 65 reviewers averaging 4.5 stars already know about this place.

"If anyone was looking for a party venue in Madera, I do not recommend the Elk’s Lodge. Saturday we had my daughter’s 16th birthday there and they are terrible. We were told the bar would be closed before the party, it wasn’t. My daughter’s friends had to walk past drunk old guys ogling at them. They wouldn’t allow the caterers to use the kitchen until we called the person we booked with and had to fight for it (though they originally said we could). They closed off the doors to the kitchen and the dance room and refused to open them. Guests had to walk out to the lobby, through the bar that was open, and back with plates and drinks. We had to fight to get the AC turned on. When we asked for the AC, John, the person in charge at the time blew in my mother’s face. She told him “try that with my son in the other room”. He then turned the AC on. We were constantly watched by the man in charge. He would just stand in the doorway and block the way. They said they would take care of cleanup, but then John said “you better sweep up all them balloons”. When we wrapped up for the night we actually cleaned up after ourselves. We made the mess so I had no problem doing it. John comes in and says “I’ll make one of the girls clean up”. No. That’s not how we roll. We didn’t. Overall we had to fight for anything we needed and got scorn and attitude every step. I would skip this place. It’s not worth the money or the scornful looks you and your guests will receive the whole time. If I could give them zero stars...I would. As far as I am concerned...they ruined my daughters sweet 16 celebration."

The Elks gave America
Flag Day.

Long before it was a national observance, the Order set aside June 14th to honor the flag. Patriotism has always been one of our cardinal principles, and every lodge meeting still closes the same way it has for over a century.
